शोर बाज़ार/Shor Bazaar (Noisy Market)

A collection of memories, objects, people, and thoughts;

some carefully preserved, some abandoned in the backyard,

and a few scattered along the road for passersby to flip through.

Shor Bazaar (Noisy Market), widely known as Chor Bazaar (Thieves’ Market), is one of the oldest flea markets in India, famous for its collection of antique, vintage goods, and second-hand items. It is believed that during the British colonial period, English officers misheard or mispronounced “Shor” as “Chor”, thereby changing the market’s name.
